| Description: | Up to 150 (200) cm tall, makes a woody perennial shrub with hairy, lobed leaves and quite large, showy yellow or cream with a dark center. Native of rocky sites in South Africa. Shrubby perennial herb, up to 2 m tall, sometimes slightly scrambling. Leaves deeply 3-5 lobed or palmately 3-5-foliolate, lobes/leaflets, up to 10 x 3 cm, stellate hairy mainly below; margin toothed; petiole up to 8 cm long. Style projecting 1.5 mm above the apex of the staminal tube before branching; branches 2 mm long. Capsule c. 15 x 13 mm, ovoid, sparsely setose. Seeds 5 x 3.5 mm, lune-shaped, very minutely scaly, with a few scattered hairs, glabrescent.
